Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals VWFD registered association attains non-profit character

(openPR) - since 6 January 2007 it is official: The association of the Wellensittichfreunde (VWFD) registered association is recognized starting from 2007 as non-profit. The acquisition of the non-profit character brings different advantages with itself: Among other things membership dues and donations are for taxation deductible. The association hopes that this important step will have positive effects on its animal protection and clearing-up work.

The VWFD was created on 06 April 2002 in Cologne to use themselves with the goal, for completely normal Wellensittiche in completely normal households and clear up over the kind-fair attitude of these popular domestic animals. In July 2003 the entry took place in the register of associations. Up-to-date the association has approximately 200 members, a number, which constantly grows. The VWFD uses itself among other things in different projects and actions for the well-being of the Wellensittiche, e.g. by consultation of Wellensittichhaltern, by which co-operation with zoo actions, home animal need shops, Tierheimen, breeders, veterinary surgeons and naturally all interested one, the joy in Wellensittichen has. A large success was for example the consultation to kind-fair Ziervogelhaltung in co-operation with the veterinary surgeon chamber Berlin on the Green week 2007. In addition the association operates a successful, very informative Internet side and a well visited forum.
