Walrus IV under Berlin Spinnaker (openPR) - in K�penick of Berlin is built at present largest high sea-yacht: the 17 meters long SYSTEMS �walrus IV �of the academic Segler association (ASV). The ship is to become finished in May 2007 and leaves Berlin in the autumn 2007, over in a Weltumsegelung the olympic summer games 2008 to Peking and afterwards again back sails. The building of �walrus IV �is a shipbuilding project of the special kind: a 17-Meter-Hochseeyacht for world-wide travel is built in Berlin, by a citizen of Berlin association and in citizen of Berlin threw.

The new building offers 10 persons place. It is 16.95 m long and has a depth of 2.8 meters. The academic Segler association registered association (ASV) is one of the most steeped in tradition sail associations of Germany. With its association ships the ASV promoted and by own journeys considerably enriched the German high sea-gel haven since the establishment.

A avowed training goal of the ASV is the capability of its members to high sea-sails. Not only sporty and nautical abilities, but also a social education covers - on lake like ashore.
