Central REACh meeting to 06.03.2007

(openPR) - the European Union chemical regulation for the registration, evaluation, permission and restriction of chemical materials (REACh) was decided on 18 December 2006 by the advice and comes into force on 01 June 2007. The embarrassment for the German textile and mode industry will be enormous. Additional expenditure, more threateningly be void and to cost increases the basic conditions for our industry will worsen and the competitive position will intensify.

Despite this unsatisfactory situation it is necessary to prepare in time for REACh. The general association textil+mode loads therefore to 06. March 2007 to a central REACh meeting to Frankfurt.

• Presentation of concrete industry-specific conversion assistance
At the same time the meeting serves as panel.

The meeting addresses itself to textile and clothing enterprises. For enterprises, which are organized in our land and/or professional associations, as well as for press representatives the participation is free. The forms for announcing and the program can be requested at the general association textil+mode.

The general association of the German textile and mode industry registered association represents the industry in economics, social and tariff-political questions. Altogether approx. 400,000 employees, busy of it more than 120,000 in Germany, are in the textile and mode industry. The general association textil+mode is member Federal Employers Association and the BDI. On European level the membership in the European roof federation of the textile and the clothing industry, Euratex insists.
