Wernigerode. The energetic use of biomass moves ever stronger into the center of alternative energy production. This took itself the Wernigerode AG to the cause on 28 November one bio energy day for the resin region to organize.

More than 50 prospective customers from the districts half, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg followed the invitation of the AG and informed about the utilization of biomass from the land and forestry. Above all economic, technical, financial as well as legal aspects were lit up with the employment by energy wood, with the thermal utilization of grain and during the biogasification.

An analysis in the context of the project „biomass “led to the result that in the north resin region extensive resources at biomass are present, these however only in small measure in own plants to be used. That is a starting point for the project advancement in the resin region. Farmer Jürgen Meencken from long stone left the listeners in the context of his Referates to the experience with its biological gas facility sharings and gave good notes for the economically successful operation of a plant. Heino Oehring of the Ostharzer cooperative bank in Quedlinburg as well as Dr. Danilo Stephan of the DZ-bank informed the public about the seriosity of the calculation of production costs which can be submitted as well as the necessary own resources portion.

After the meeting company Gornig prospective customer gave to visit the possibility a boiler plant and to bring special details in the discussion in experience.
