CureVac GmbH appoints Dr. med Thomas Lander the managing director and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. med Thomas Lander, new managing director and Chief Medical Officer of the CureVac GmbH in Tübingen (openPR) - Dr. med. Thomas Lander was appointed at the end of of October 2006 as the managing director and Chief Medical Officer of the CureVac GmbH. Beside the past managing director Dr. Ingmar Hoerr supplements Dr. Lander thereby the management of the enterprise.

Before his new position with CureVac was Dr. Lander Executive Vice President and CMO of the world-wide clinical research and development Merck KGaA. There it led the world-wide clinical development of onkologischer products and was considerably involved in the permission and introduction by Erbitux®, the first monoclonal anti-body against intestine, head and neck cancer.

Before Dr. Lander held different leading positions with international pharmaceutical enterprises such as GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol Myers Squibb and NovoNordisk. By its work of many years within different therapeutic ranges in the clinical research and development as well as medical director with responsibility for the ranges he has medical sciences and permission a founded and extensive knowledge in the medicament research.
