Didacta 2007: Kosmolino makes Kindergartenkids fit for the school

Since PISA is clear: The foundation of a good education is put before the first day at school. Particularly gladly and well children at this age everyday life-referred, independently and in the spielerischen experiment learn. Therefore the COSMOS publishing house on the education fair Didacta in Cologne presents the new learning row Kosmolino, which orients itself at the new education and educating plans for kindergartens in Germany. By the three kinds of medium play, experimentation box and picture book can learn children starting from four years with all senses and in accordance with their preferences and strengths.

The new learning row is starting from 13. March in the trade. The Kosmolino play „merry or sadly… as you show feelings “the honor already received „ToyAward “as one of the best new publications on the international play goods fair in January.

All Kosmolino contents are directly linked with the everyday life and experience world of the children. Attempts, play ideas and interactive elements of the different media encourage the child to explore most diverse fields of knowledge independently. A swivelling knowledge disk in each product supports the children to control their learning progress independently. Thus they learn with all senses by own acting and experiencing. A genuine increase in value are also „do which! “- Tipps in all three media for further experiments and discoveries with everyday materials.

Kosmolino on the most current conditions is educational and didactically. The concept was derived from the consequences of the PISA studies and corresponds to the newest requirements to the education in the kindergarten. The cosmos editorship was advised by the Professorin Dr. Gisela Lück of the University of Bielefeld. It is Spezialistin for the switching of scientific knowledge in the infancy. Apart from the natural sciences Kosmolino covers however also many other knowledge ranges, which make a child fit for the school: The four books inform building site, human body, animal children and car about the topics. The four learning plays obtain colors, feelings, letters and numbers. The four experimentation boxes open areas like animal-pure, the weather, colors and the car.

The Kosmolino experimentation boxes
With spielerischen Kosmolino experiments children follow to their natural researcher urge starting from five years. The guidance booklet accompanies the independent knowledge acquisition by questions, hypotheses and attempts. The guidances are in such a way arranged that also children, who cannot read thus can work. As in all media of the Kosmolino row there are the swivelling knowledge disks to the self-check. First four experimentation boxes appear: „Why our car drives “, „who knows the animal-pure “, „red, blue, yellow - who mixes the colors “and „sun, rain, snow - as the weather becomes “You are available at the price of 9,99 euro in each case.

The Kosmolino Lernspiele
The Kosmolino Lernspiele arranges the conditions for good kind of training for already four years old ones and takes up thereby important topics from the Vorschulerziehung. Thus it succeeded for example to convert for the first time the topic emotions in a learning play. It makes possible for children to recognize own feelings and the others. The play was distinguished 2007 with the innovation price „ToyAward “on the international play goods fair. Further topics are the colors, the numbers and the letter. The Spieldauer amounts to agefairly about 15 minutes. Each play is suitable for two to four players and costs 17.99 euro.

The Kosmolino of picture books
The interactive special book concept of the Kosmolino row offers a spielerischen entrance to the knowledge. The children gotten by the transparent foil sides a view over the interior life of everyday articles or organisms, solve mystery questions with the help of a knowledge magnifying glass and control the own learning progress with the swivelling knowledge disk. The sticking picture books with spiral connection are suitable starting from four years and cost in each case 12.95 euro (Austria: 13.40 euro, Switzerland: 23.00 Franconias). The first four volumes treat the ranges of topics „what is the matter on the building site “, „which happens in my body “, „Küken, hamster, donkey - who knows the animal children “and „you know everything over the car “.
