The first traffic pilot ARI, which warns the Germans since 1972 before back-up, becomes 35 years old
(openPR) - Hildesheim/Wiesbaden, 21 February 2007. Before 35 years a special novelty was presented to the technology-inspired German driver, with which stress belonged to tax finally the past. This concerns the driver broadcast information developed by the bosch subsidiary point of blue, briefly ARI mentioned. The traffic pilot signal could be transferred, inaudibly for the listeners, additionally to the normal radio program. By ARI the new radio of point of blue could identify transmitters, which radiated to the full and half hour traffic messages.
By „the Hinz trill in such a way specified “the Verkehrsdurchsagen were differentiated from the current program. „The Hinz trill “(designated after his inventor, engineer Werner Hinz) is a special acoustic signal, which is sent by the Radiosender before and after each traffic message. The ARI car radio recognized the 57 inaudible for the human ear kHz clay/tone as announcement identification for the traffic radio and switched for example from a switched on cartridge rendition to wireless reception. With quietly adjusted radios the volume of the signal could be increased. So relieved ARI the receipt of current traffic messages, informed in time forwards back-up and recommended to the driver even traffic diversions.
Traffic messages were already radiated since 1969. Introduced after the development 1972 ARI for the first time on 1 June 1974 in UKW sound broadcasting into Germany, first limited to selected pool of broadcasting corporations transmitters, later surface covering. The first traffic pilot was trend-setting an innovation “larva in Germany” and for the today's generation of modern car radios.
